Spectator broken?

When ever I set g_gametype value to "4" for capture the flag in my server config, I find that I can't spectate in my server even though I have g_autojoin set to "0". Also when I join my server I am automatically put on to a team which shouldn't be happening. I try to spectate but I can't. I just find myself respawning on the team I'm already on if I try to go to spectator.

Sorry, I made a typo and meant to say that I did set g_teamAutoJoin 0, but it still doesn't work properly.

Hm... can't confirm/reproduce, can you post your server config+ruleset somewhere?

Are you sure you are not overwriting the setting somewhere? Like in the ruleset or perhaps in the rotation file?

I'm not sure what it is. I'm not using the map rotation thing used by the mod. I've looked over my configs and I can't find the problem. But I'll upload my configs somewhere.

Spectator seems to only be broke in team based games. Spectator works fine in g_gametype 0 for Free For All mode.

Ok, first, download if you using it
* Make sure that your ruleset is not named as default[.cfg] because built-in ruleset will be loaded instead
* Try to use our rotation system (see rotation.txt and \g_rotation )instead of manipulating cvars manually

I tried the suggested advice. It's still not working properly for me. I haven't used this mod in a while, but back when I used it before it worked perfect. Is it possible to obtain earlier revisions of edawn mod so I can test to see whether or not my issue will go away?

There is no legacy versions on the server except 1.1.2 (change last number in current release link to get it)

Sorry, atm I'm experiencing problems with my ISP so there is some problems with interaction

What I can suggest for now: try to perform clean installation, i.e. copy \baseq3\pak[0-8].pk3 and \edawn\*.pk3 in separate directory and try to setup new (w/default ruleset for first time) server from scratch as I'm sure that there is some config issue...

Also please take note if you are using vanilla ioq3 engine: its using local user directory to store configs (in addition to game directory)

Oh well, I've already tried that before. I don't know what to do. So I give up for now. I wished other people would confirm this issue for me. My server is on a windows platform if that makes any difference.
